Summary

Cookathon.com is dedicated to protecting the privacy of it’s audience. It uses industry best-practices to ensure all information stored on Cookathon.com property is not available to any other party, other than Cookathon.com itself. Cookathon.com also will not share or publish any Personally Identifiable Information except in cases where permission is granted by the user. Cookathon.com is not responsible for filtering Personally Identifiable Information from content submitted by it’s users, so we urge users to consider their own privacy when submitting information.

The following is a summary of the privacy policy for Cookathon.com. A comprehensive policy will be posted soon.

Collection of Information

Cookathon.com may collect information of an aggregate and non-personally-identifiable nature for statistical analysis. This information cannot be traced back to any person or individual and consists only of aggregate statistical data.

Cookathon.com receives information from it’s users from sources including comments, postings, and email messages. Any received communications are recorded by Cookathon.com and therefore are stored electronically and may be transferred to hard copy. Any information that is not personally identifiable may be redistributed by Cookathon.com without notice, unless the user explicitly requests that the information remain private.

Personally Identifiable Information

Cookathon.com collects Personally Identifiable Information including first and last name and email address, if provided, for users to register and participate in feedback, discussions and other activity on the Cookathon.com website. Additionally, anything posted in public areas of the website may remain publicly available such that any visitor to Cookathon.com will be able to view it. We recommend that users consider their own privacy when communicating in a public forum.

Any Personally Identifiable Information entered for purposes of registration is kept private, except where noted on the form (the web page where information is entered to be submitted), before the submission of such information. One example is a screen name or nickname. If you would like to remove all of your Personally Identifiable Information from Cookathon.com, please write to us at info@cookathon.com. We will comply with your request, but please note that you will not be able to participate in any of the interactive features on Cookathon.com.
